Well I was put on bedrest last week and so far it has actually been kind of nice to just relax. I have slept so much which obviously I needed. I'm sure I will get bored soon but not so far! Tyler is home sick today which I think is preparing me for having a baby since he is acting so much like one. Ha! I go back to the doctor on Wednesday where she will either tell me that my swelling/blood pressurehas gone down enough to come off bedrest or they will schedule a date to be induce . I have been cheating quite a bit though but no more until my appointment. I went on a date with Tyler and to church and looking at houses so I haven't been exactly staying off of my feet like I should be. I have been checking my bp every day and it isn't going up or down so we will just have to wait and see.
I hope to have some good news on Wednesday and will keep everyone posted. In the meantime I will be reading/relaxing and enjoying my quiet time before life gets crazy! Tyler does need to get better though b/c if he is sick in any way when I go into labor then he can't be around Preston which would be awful. Keep us in your prayers!

Life in Fast Forward...
With the holidays behind us and a new year coming we are anticipating many changes and couldn't be happier. This baby will be here so soon and I am starting to get overwhelmed with the idea of being a mother. I worry if I will be able to meet all of my sons needs and how I will be able to juggle daily life along with running a full time business with my husband. I know that God never gives us more than we can handle and he chose this timing for a reason, it's just a little scary at times. Aside from that we are soo excited and anxious for the arrival of our little Preston Carter. I can't wait to see what he will look like, what his little personality will be and how he will fit in to our lives.
Our crib is coming tomorrow and after that we will have everything we need for him to be here. I cannot believe how fast time has flown by and that he will be here so soon. Tyler and I are enjoying our last nights of quiet simplicity in front of the TV and squeezing as many date nights in as possible. Soon our lives will encompass a new life..one that we made together. It is so bizarre and wonderful to think about.
Along with the arrival of this little one, Tyler has been promoted to District Coordinator over a block of business starting January 1st. I am so proud of him and know that he will do such a good job. He has always been a great leader so this will be perfect for him. We will still continue with the major medical and group dental that we have been doing so far. Also, there is no deployment in sight as we had feared earlier in the year. One that was scheduled for his unit in October has been completely canceled (a total answer to prayer).
If you are reading this please keep us in your prayers as we prepare for the arrival of our son. Pray that he is healthy and happy and that we can keep our sanity when we aren't sleeping and adjusting to this new life. Can't wait to see what other exciting things are coming in the new year.
This past year has involved lots of change and getting adjusted to life in New Mexico (for all you Texans it's not as bad as you think...we are actually very happy here) God has blessed us in so many ways this year and we are very thankful for all of the wonderful things that he has done for us.

So bad about posting...
I am so bad about posting but I wanted to update everyone on what is going on with Tyler and I. As most people know we are expecting a little boy in February and are so excited! It was a total shock at first but now that the shock has worn off we are just getting anxious to meet this little guy. We have been busy busy since I last posted so I will give a quick update on what has been going on with us. Tyler has continued pursuing his Aflac business and I have joined him full time. It really takes 2 people to run a full time insurance agency so that has been our project. It has really helped our marriage because we are working toward the same goals and we get to be together all the time and make our own schedules. We really enjoy it because every week is different and we are able to meet the true needs of people. Tyler has also become a broker with Delta Dental and Lovelace which is a major medical provider in New Mexico. Also, we just got our first official office. No more working out of our home which will hopefully equal being more productive.
We are continuing to make new friends here and have found the most amazing church full of wonderful people. It is a blessing that God provided a church that fits us so perfectly. Since we have been in Albuquerque we have really grown to enjoy the town/landscape everything about it. The hardest part for us has been the real estate around here. For starters it is way expensive...we are so used to the Texas real estate market that it was jaw-dropping everytime we saw the price of a house. We are not very fond of the southwest style but are getting more and more used to it. Our plan was to buy a house in February but due to a little bundle of joy that is headed our way we are pushing it off to the summer.
Since my last post we have been all over the place. We love traveling and thankfully we got to do a lot of it over the summer. We'll have to put traveling on hold until the baby is old enough to go everywhere with us. A little bit about our adventures....
In April we road-tripped it to California and made a detour to Vegas on the way. I went back to Vegas with Cheri in May and that was a lot of fun...immediately after that we went to Puerto Vallarta for an Aflac trip that Tyler qualified for. Sara got to go with us and we had an absolutely amazing time. I then went to float the river for Tara's Bachelorette weekend which was soo much fun. We drove to Lbk for Shae's wedding then to Arlington for the 4th of July. Our next trip was to Ruidoso for a weekend and then to Altanta for another trip that Tyler qualified for. After that we decided to take one last trip to the Bahamas as our "babymoon" before little Preston gets here. Last but not least we spent labor day in Ouray, CO with Tyler's parents and aunt and uncle. In between all of that we have been back and forth to Lubbock and Farmington working. Wow! I seriously got tired just writing all of that!!! Well maybe God is sending this baby to get us to stay put for a little while. One thing is for sure that we have been so blessed and are looking forward to what life holds. Since we aren't going anywhere anytime soon maybe I will blog on a more regular basis. The pictures are from are adventures over the last few months.

It has been way to long since I have posted anything. I will quickly update this just to let everyone know what is going on with Tyler and I. After finishing up at A&M, Tyler and I moved to Albuquerque, NM for Tyler's AFLAC business. We never in a million years thought that we would enjoy it as much as we do. We are as shocked as anyone. It also is not as cold as we thought it was either. It has only snowed two times in three months here and it has been feeling more like spring lately. We miss our friends from TX a lot but have been making new friends here. I love that I am so much closer to Lubbock now. I recently got a job with an entertainment company through a friend of Tyler's parents. I am their manager of marketing and events and have really flexible hours which is great. I also just took and passed my health and life exam and will be able to start selling Aflac when I am not working for King Mobile. Once we get some free time, we are planning to start hiking and fishing and being more outdoorsy. There are so many outdoor things to do here so we are planning to get into that. Anyway this is just a small update about our lives! The pic is from a recent skiing trip that we went on to Telluride, CO.

Another Weekend With Tyler:)
Aggie sweatbands in LonghornLand :)
Tyler got to fly in for Labor Day weekend to see the Aggie game and for the Nike+10k in Austin. We had such a wonderful weekend but, as usual, it went by way to fast! One of my favorite parts of the weekend was running the 10k because it had always been something that I wanted to do but never had. I felt like we accomplished something together and was so proud of us! The Nike+10k was the a race that was run in 25 different countries and cities all over the world. In Austin alone there were 13,800 people running according to their website. It had to be one of the most awesome sights ever to look at the thousands of people running in front of and behind us. I was happy that we got to be a part of something so cool. Tyler is now training for a half marathon at the end of September. I think I'll stick to running around the air conditioned rec for a little while longer :) Here are some pictures of the weekend....along with the new car that we got while we were in Austin. It's a Saturn Vue and we LOVE it!!!

Home Sweet Albuquerque
So I went to Albuquerque this weekend to find an apartment for Tyler and I to live in when we move there in December. I have been praying a lot about this move and whether or not it is the right place for us. I was hoping that after this trip I would feel peaceful about our decision to move to New Mexico-Sure enough God has given me peace about our move and I am extremely happy! Tyler's mom picked me up on Wednesday night and after four crazy days of going all over the place I have found an apartment that I LOVE, a great church, potential furniture, paint colors and awesome shops and restaurants to eat at when we move here. I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about living here after this weekend but I can honestly say that I am now actually looking forward to living in Albuquerque. The apartment that we will be living in has a view of the Sandia Mountains out one window and a big beautiful golf course on the other. We also discovered a shopping center that has a Pottery Barn, Mac, White House Black Market and some other great stores. The pictures I am posting are of us at the top of the Sandia Mountain and a couple of pics of the model apartment where we will be living in December....!

So Thankful :)
I recently drove from Atlanta, GA up to Virginia with Tyler on his way to Ft. Eustis where he will finish up his training. We had a blast together and got to see so many neat things & places. I missed him before I had even left because I knew what it was going to be like after the trip was over. So I cherished every moment and left appreciating my husband more than ever. Everyone who knows Tyler can attest that he is a wonderful selfless guy. He would do anything for anybody and never expects anything back. Just the unselfish act of joining the national guard can vouch for that. He (along with a lot of his friends) are in the military and sacrifice so many normal everyday things to be a part of something that is bigger than they are. I do not understand how these guys do what they do but I am in awe! I was also reaffirmed as I have been a zillion times before that Tyler is absolutely the perfect guy that God picked out and made just for me. He is my best friend, someone I never get tired of being around and am so excited about our future together. He is amazing, that's just all there is to it! Here are some pics of Georgia, Virginia and Washington D.C....it was all so historical and I learned so many things that I never did from a classroom.
